Stainless Steel 442 Nuts consist mainly of chromium (18–23%) and iron with very low carbon. This ferritic stainless steel grade has high hardness and outstanding scaling resistance at high temperatures. These nuts provide a tensile strength of approximately 450–650 MPa, a yield strength of 275 MPa, and dimensional stability. Having a density of around 7.7 g/cm³ and a melting point higher than 1480°C, they function efficiently under thermal stress.
