Low carbon content (0.03% max) reduces the risk of carbide precipitation on welding. Mechanical properties consist of superior tensile strength (520 MPa), yield strength (205 MPa) and elongation (40%), which provide durability and strength. These washers are also resistant to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking and thus are suitable for high-performance applications.
