Stainless Steel 201 Stud Bolts consist of iron, chromium (16–18%), nickel (3.5–5.5%), and manganese (5.5–7.5%), which provides superior mechanical strength. The tensile strength of these stud bolts is about 485 MPa and yield strength is 170 MPa, with an elongation of about 40%. The density is 7.9 g/cm³, and the melting point is between 1400–1450°C. Although they possess medium corrosion resistance, they are not as effective in heavily corrosive applications as materials such as 304 or 316 stainless steel.
