SS 17-7 PH Bolts consist primarily of iron with 16–18% chromium, 6.5–7.75% nickel, 0.75–1.50% aluminum, and minor content of manganese, silicon, and carbon. Stainless Steel 17-7 PH Bolts possess excellent mechanical properties, such as a tensile strength of up to 1300 MPa and yield strength of approximately 1100 MPa upon heat treatment. They have high hardness, fatigue life and good formability. They are physically 7.8 g/cm³ dense and have a melting point of 1404–1440°C. Their high strength and resistance to corrosion render them ideal for applications that require heavy stress and industrial and structural requirements.
