The washers of Copper Nickel 90/10 are made of copper and nickel constituting 90% and 10% with traces of manganese and iron in order to build strength and be corrosion-resistant. The mechanical characteristics of the washers include 275–400 MPa of tensile strength and yield strength of 69–135 MPa with better ductility and elongation. They have 8.89 g/cm³ density and have a melting point of approximately 1100°C. Due to their superior thermal and electrical conductivity, they are well-suited for use in high-temperature applications and provide excellent resistance to seawater corrosion and biofouling, making them well-suited for use in the marine and process industries.
