Copper Nickel 70/30 Washers are made up of 70% copper and 30% nickel, with small amounts of iron and manganese for increased strength and resistance to corrosion. They have good fine mechanical properties, including a tensile strength of 310–500 MPa and a yield strength of 105–275 MPa, with good ductility and hardness. Physically, they have a density of 8.95 g/cm³ and a melting point of approximately 1170°C. They also exhibit excellent thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, as well as seawater corrosion and biofouling resistance, hence their applications in challenging marine and industrial processes.
