Copper Nickel 70/30 Fasteners contain 70% copper and 30% nickel with minor additions of iron and manganese to increase strength and corrosion resistance. They have good mechanical properties with a tensile strength of 310–500 MPa and yield strength of 105–275 MPa with good elongation and hardness. They are physically characterized by a density of 8.95 g/cm³ and a melting point of around 1170°C. These fasteners also possess superior thermal conductivity and biogrowth resistance, which makes them suitable for severe marine and industrial applications.
