These nuts have a tensile strength of approximately 485 MPa along with a yield strength of 170 MPa. Having a density of 7.9 g/cm³ and a melting point of 1400–1450°C, they possess good mechanical performance. Although resistant to corrosion in mild conditions, they are less efficient in severely corrosive conditions than higher grades such as 304 or 316 stainless steel.
