Stainless Steel 347 Nuts are composed of chromium (17–19%), nickel (9–13%), carbon (≤0.08%), and are stabilized with niobium (columbium) to avoid carbide precipitation. Additional constituent elements are silicon, manganese, and trace sulfur and phosphorus. They possess tensile strength of 515–750 MPa, yield strength of about 205 MPa, and hardness of up to 201 HB. Being dense at 7.93 g/cm³ and having a melting range between 1398–1446°C, they exhibit excellent high-heat performance and corrosion environments with their mechanical properties remaining in tact even on prolonged exposure at high temperatures.
