ASTM A193 B8 CL3 fasteners are austenitic stainless steel fasteners, consisting primarily of 18-20% chromium and 8-12% nickel, with controlled levels of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and silicon. The fasteners are strain-hardened to provide more durability and strength. Mechanically, they possess at least a tensile strength of 125 ksi (860 MPa) and at least a yield strength of 100 ksi (690 MPa), thus being perfectly suited for severe applications. Their excellent corrosion resistance and thermal performance ensure reliable operation in harsh industrial conditions, including power and petrochemical plants.
