ASTM A182 F51 Fasteners are manufactured from duplex stainless steel, approximately 22% chromium, 5-6% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and balanced iron with nitrogen and manganese in traces. They have chemical composition with high pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking resistance. F51 fasteners are mechanically strong having minimum tensile strength of 620 MPa and yield strength of 450 MPa. They also exhibit good toughness and ductility, even at cold temperatures, and are therefore also well-suited for challenging use in high-stress and harsh environments.
