Stainless Steel 17-4 PH Fasteners contain mostly iron with 15–17.5% chromium, 3–5% nickel, 3–5% copper, and trace amounts of niobium, manganese, and silicon. Stainless Steel 17-4 PH fasteners possess excellent mechanical properties such as tensile strength of up to 1310 MPa and yield strength of approximately 1170 MPa in H900 condition. They also exhibit superior hardness and fatigue strength. Physically 17-4 PH fasteners are of a density of 7.75 g/cm³ and a melting point of around 1400°C. Being high in strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance, they prove to be suitable for stringent applications in aggressive environments.
